At Chariot, we realize it’s important to promote not just solar energy, but also green living, sustainability and clean energy overall. That’s why we’ve formulated a scholarship to help those who strive to live a greener, cleaner life. One educational scholarship in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded each semester to an individual who actively implements green living and/or carbon footprint-reducing practices into their everyday life.

Chariot Energy’s Bright Future scholarships are open to all Texas students that would like to apply regardless of area of study, gender, age, color, nationality or religious background.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Bright Future College Scholarship, applicants must be Texas residents, regardless of whether they’re enrolled in a Texas college or university or an out-of-state college or university. All participants must:

Be Enrolled as a Full-Time Student

12 Credit Hours or More

Have Valid Proof of Enrollment

Must Submit Official or Unofficial Transcript

Have a GPA of 3.2 or Higher

Out of 4.0 Scale


Individuals may receive a scholarship for up to $2,000. The scholarship will be applied directly to your tuition.

Application Process

Write an Essay

Write an essay of 500-750 words on the following topic: Who or what inspires you to live green?

Provide Contact Information

Please provide your name, email address, physical address and phone number.

Submit a Video

Create a 1- to 2-minute video of how do you live green or what steps you take to care about the environment. Be creative!

Provide College Information

Please provide your school name, anticipated graduation date, major or field of interest.

Provide Proof of Enrollment

Provide an Official or Unofficial transcript to an accredited college, university or graduate school enrollment. (Submit in PDF Format)

Additional Information

Each term, one applicant will be awarded the scholarship. Unsuccessful applicants are eligible to re-apply for the scholarship in subsequent semesters. Past winners are not eligible to re-apply.

Scholarship Terms & Conditions

If you are selected, you agree to have a brief profile featured on the scholarship page on Chariot Energy’s website. The profile will include a picture, your full name, college or university, anticipated graduation date, major or field of interest, and a snippet of your essay. Chariot may also publish a social media post showcasing the video of the winner and a message from Chariot. All submissions become the sole property of Chariot University, regardless if you are the winner or not.
