Fusion by Chariot Energy combines our two most popular home energy services rebates into one unified rate plan. You get to take advantage of Chariot Energy’s Solar Buyback and Battery Rewards programs and maximize savings from your home energy system.

Solar Buyback by Chariot Energy is an energy plan where you earn credits at real-time market rates, capped at 25¢/kWh,* for 100% of the extra electricity your solar panels generate. And if your panels don’t generate enough, you get energy from the grid at a low, fixed rate. *Please note that export rates may vary depending on the plan’s rate.

Your bi-directional utility meter monitors how much electricity you use vs. how much electricity your solar power system generates. 

You will receive bill credits on future energy bills. Your credits never expire as long as you remain a Chariot Energy customer. 

Chariot's Battery Rewards Program is a remote-controlled system that pools together different energy sources, like solar panels and batteries, to act as one big power plant. This program helps balance energy supply and demand for our great state while using renewable energy more efficiently. You’ll be saving money and helping your fellow Texans.

By enrolling in our Battery Rewards program, your home battery would be remotely managed on your behalf to maximize the impact of the energy stored in your battery by optimizing discharge timing. By discharging the energy into the grid, when needed, you’re not only promoting grid stability and reliability, but also eligible to receive a $40 bill credit toward your monthly bill. When you enroll in Battery Rewards, your home battery is remotely managed on your behalf to optimize charge and discharge timing. By discharging energy into the grid when needed, your system supports the Texas energy grid and helps you earn bill credits.

Currently, homes with Q.HOME CORE (Qcells), Tesla, Enphase and SolarEdge batteries are eligible for our program. Homes with Qcells Q.HOME CORE, Tesla, Enphase or SolarEdge batteries are eligible for our program.

Our Battery Rewards program is available for both new and existing customers. To be eligible for our Battery Rewards program, you must be enrolled in a Chariot Energy plan and have an approved battery energy storage system.

You will receive these credits directly on your monthly electricity bills from Chariot Energy. This means lower electric bills!

Your home will always receive priority to cover 100% of your set electricity load before any reserves are discharged to the grid during a dispatch event. We will only dispatch energy from your battery when your electricity load is smaller than the available output from your battery. We’ll always keep your battery’s charge above 20% State of Charge (SoC).

This program is a month-to-month add-on service. You have the freedom to opt-in or opt-out without any penalty. The current contract term and ETF of your solar buyback plan are still valid and will not change. Your buyback credits from your solar buyback plan will also not be affected, meaning you can earn a $40 bill credit for participating as well as monthly buyback credits as outlined by your solar buyback plan.
