1. Chariot Energy does not manage your solar panels or battery energy storage system. We rely solely on utility reports for the excess credit volumes.
  2. Customers identified as net-exporters, individuals who produce more electricity than what their home consumes, could be subject to suspension and discontinuance of excess credits.

Time-of-Use Product

Eligibility Restrictions

If Customer has enrolled for service pursuant to a product that has time-of-use fixed rate pricing (e.g. Chariot Energy’s “Free Nights,” “EV Ride,” and similar products), Customer is not eligible to receive service pursuant to such time-of-use product if such Customer has installed or subsequently installs at their premises solar panels or other form(s) of distributed generation, one or more batteries or other form(s) of energy storage systems, or whose ERCOT-established load profile has a PV, WD, DG, or similar designation indicating Customer might have distributed generation or energy storage facilities at their premises.  If Customer has enrolled for service under a time-of-use fixed rate product for which they are ineligible pursuant to this paragraph, Chariot Energy reserves the right to charge Customer the highest energy charge rate applicable to such product and disclosed under such product’s EFL without regard to such product’s time-of-use terms, conditions, restrictions, or other provisions.  Chariot Energy may determine and continue to monitor Customer’s eligibility status as it deems appropriate, including (without limitation) by monitoring Customer’s load profile designation assigned by ERCOT.
