TDU stands for Transmission and Distribution Utility. The TDUs are responsible for operating and maintaining all of the power lines, meters and other infrastructure required to get the energy from solar power plants, and other sources of generation, to your home or business. Depending on your Chariot Energy plan, in some cases you’ll see the TDU charges on your bill and in other the charges will be bundled into your energy rate.

You are eligible to enroll in our Shine Solar Buyback plan if you live in the Texas deregulated market under ERCOT and already have solar panels installed on your home.
A Solar Buyback plan is an energy plan where you can earn bill credits for 100% of the extra electricity your solar panels generate.
