A Look at the New Chariot Bill

Single Meters

If you are a Chariot customer with one meter, here's how your new bill will look. Most residential customers have one meter, however there are some exceptions.

A bill summary, offering a quick and simple breakdown of your current bill. Quickly access previous balances and recent payments.

Mix of Current Charges

This simple visual shows you the mix of your current charges by energy rate (Chariot Energy), taxes and regulatory fees, and your utility.

Sunny & Share

You'll receive a new code for customer referrals, in April. Your referral code is unique and will be on first new bill. As always, you can send your friends and family to our referral page. Earn $50 when someone uses your code to enroll with Chariot Energy. Your referral will also be rewarded with a $50 bill credit

Ways to Pay

You have three ways to pay your Chariot Energy bill. This section reminds you every month and provides the necessary details to access your account and make a payment.

Simplified Payment Stub

You can quickly double-check the billing address for your account here, making it easy to confirm everything is going to the right place when making a payment.

Electricity Bill Details

Find the name of and term length of your current plan, term expiration date and detailed charges in this section. This section also features a chart showing your historical energy consumption by month.

Contact Info & Tips for Lower Bills

The last thing any of us wants is a bad case of bill shock. Chariot will periodically provide tips and tricks in the section to reduce your electricity consumption and help prevent your bill from skyrocketing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be getting a new Chariot Energy account number?

Yes! With the new billing system comes a new account number. Your new account number will be sent to you via email.

Yes, you will be required to reset your password to access the new customer portal. Please note, a password reset will be sent to your email address.

Yes, but only for a short time. Access to the old customer portal will remain until April 30th, 2026. Please keep in mind, to log in to the old customer portal, you will need your old Chariot Energy account number and original password.

Yes, you will be able to access your past billing information – including previous statements, payment history, and past newsletters. However, these historical documents may take time to fully migrate. Expected availability of these documents will be by the end of April 2026.

The new customer portal will boast features such as improved account dashboards, faster access to billing statements, expanded payment options, better tracking of balances and due dates, and updated communication preferences.

No, you should not need to change your payment method or billing preferences. All details you’ve previously selected will be carried over to our new customer portal.

You can easily change your bill delivery preference to email within the Billing & Payments section in your MyAccount portal under Bill Delivery Preferences.

Under the My Profile section in your MyAccount Portal, you can edit Login Credentials – which allows you to edit your Login ID and your Password. You can also edit your Contact Information as needed.

You can easily submit a ticket with our Customer Care team about any inquiries you may have with our team in the Customer Care section of your MyAccount portal. Simply input your topic and the question in the required spot. 

Historical statements and documents are currently being moved over by Chariot Energy. You will have full access to these documents by the end of April. In the meantime, you can still access past statements and documents in the old customer portal by clicking here.

Your account will stay enrolled in Auto-Pay, so there’s nothing you need to do there. If you previously had a saved payment method, you’ll just need to add it again to continue seamless payments.

If you’ve already made a payment using your old account number, don’t worry! The Chariot team will ensure that your payment is posted to your account. We do want to encourage that going forward, you use your new account number for future payments.

Customer Notice

As Chariot Energy transitions to deliver your new customer experience, your April bill will arrive later than usual.

  • You have the same amount of time as normal to remit payment.   

  • If you are NOT on autopay, you can pay your bill as usual, by way of Chariot’s self-service portal, automated telephone payment system, or USPS mail.

  • If you ARE on autopay, no action is needed.
