Free Nights is a time-of-use plan with two simple rules. Between 11 PM and 6 AM, your energy charge is $.00 per kWh. The rest of the day, you pay one low, fixed rate that stays the same for the length of your contract. That is it. No tiers, no gimmicks, no fine print about which nights count.

The free window covers the energy charge on your plan. Delivery charges from your local utility (your TDU) and any base charge are passed through at cost and listed on your EFL, just like every other Texas plan.

Free Nights is not the right fit for homes with rooftop solar panels or a home battery. The savings on a Free Nights electricity plan come down to one number: the share of your monthly kWh that lands inside the free window. Here is an illustrative example. Your own shares will differ, so treat it as a way to think, not an estimate for your home.
