1. Chariot Energy does not manage your solar panels or battery energy storage system. We rely solely on utility reports for the excess credit volumes.
  2. Customers identified as net-exporters, individuals who produce more electricity than what their home consumes, could be subject to suspension and discontinuance of excess credits.
How Solar Energy Works
01Sand to raw material

The core material for solar energy is polysilicon made from sand. This eco-friendly energy resource is free of carbon emission and noise pollution.

Our Projects
Midland, TX

Midway Solar

The Midway Solar plant sits on about 1,500 acres of private land in southern Pecos County in West Texas. This massive project generates power from 685,000 solar panels manufactured by Chariot Energy’s sister company. Austin Energy, a respected Texas utility, has agreed to purchase the power for 25 years. Midway Solar, which went live in 2018, is one of our premier developments in the US. and will provide enough energy to power 50,000 homes every year using good ‘ol fashioned Texas sun.

Boulder City, Nevada

Techren Solar

The Techren Solar project is located on more than 2,300 acres of the Eldorado Valley Energy Zone. It’s one of the largest solar generation facilities in the United States. Located 25 miles southeast of Las Vegas, the Techren Solar I and II facilities will provide energy to Nevada Energy for 25 years. Both projects were live and generating power by 2018.

Ector County, TX

Oberon Solar

We broke ground on Oberon Solar in June of 2019, and it is expected to start adding solar energy to the Texas grid mix in Spring of 2020. Oberon will span over 1,500 acres of land and consist of 655,000 solar panels generating 150 megawatts, that’s enough to power about 30,000 homes! We are taking full advantage of an abundant supply of the Texas sun.

There is enough solar energy in the United States to power more than 11.3 million homes and that number is on the rise.
