He’s here to solve our complex issues! Hector brings his robust retail energy experience to Chariot where he focuses on enhancing processes and delivering accurate, efficient solutions. He is passionate about bringing precision and a proactive approach to his work, and looks to contributing those strengths to the team. Outside of work, Hector enjoys staying engaged with sports and appreciate the energy and focus it inspires. He is also a dedicated follower of live music events, finding them a great way to balance his professional life.

With a wide range of expertise in web development and cloud integration, Jose brings his talents to Chariot Energy as a Full Stack Developer. Born in Mexico and raised in Houston, he’s passionate about transforming complex business needs into seamless systems. Outside of work, Jose enjoys traveling with his wife, exploring new restaurants, BBQing, and gaming—especially story-rich adventures. A proud car enthusiast and tech gadget aficionado, he’s excited to help drive Chariot’s mission forward.

A former news anchor in his past life, Brian now makes the news instead of reporting it by spending his work days captaining Chariot marketing activities. He is passionate about making solar affordable for all – and excited to be doing just that. He’s lived in eight states, is married to the woman of his dreams and has three boys all under the age of 10. In his spare time Brian enjoys the outdoors and reminiscing about his days as a one-time contestant on the Price is Right, when the legendary Bob Barker ran the show.

Our sales aficionado, Catherine brings robust energy experience in sales to Chariot. Catherine was born and raised in Houston, TX, and graduated from Texas State University before entering the energy industry and spending 5+ years with NRG Energy & ENGIE. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and trying new food/drink spots with friends.

A former Portfolio Manger for RECs, Day Ahead Power and Basis, William joins Chariot as Retail Supply Trader. William majored in mathematics specializing in Real Analysis and continues his quest for niche knowledge in his career by currently studying Optimization as it pertains to electricity markets, in particular: price formation via SCED and portfolio optimization subject to risk constraints. Outside of work, William likes to rock climb!

Luis joined Hanwha Qcells in 2016, coming from the PV ESS industry. He’s lived in 4 different countries and has most recently moved to Houston from Berlin, Germany, where he worked for Qcells. Luis is happily married to his loving wife and has a 4 year old son. In his time outside of work, Luis loves to relax in a cafe with a good cup of coffee and a book so he can clear his head, which is rare due to his energetic son. He enjoys family time such as spending time at the park, swimming, and traveling.

Jaehoon became a part of Hanwha Group in 2019. Since then, he has been navigating through diverse roles and domains. His initial assignment involved procuring electric/instrumental equipment and chemicals for a petrochemical plant situated in a small seaside town, where he dedicated 2 and a half years. Following this, he transitioned to Seoul, taking on a role in planning and analysis within the monomer sales department. Presently, he has embarked on an entirely new venture in the dynamic field of DE business, situated in the energy hub of our planet. On a personal note, he enjoys exploring non-touristy locations on Earth and learning new languages.

Josue is our Tech-Guru! Displaying a vast portfolio of experience, he holds 10 years of General IT experience, with 3 years of enterprise-level IT experience in the banking sector. Extinguished in his craft, Josue has obtained 7 IT Certifications related to Network, Security, and IT Infrastructure. Josue was born in Puerto Rico and has lived in Houston for 10 years.

Our Chemical Engineer has returned! After spending time with Hanwha Energy Global and Chariot Energy as an intern in the summer of 2023, Feras has moved back to Texas to work as Chariot’s Senior Retail Analyst. Over the past decade, Feras completed his undergraduate degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in Energy and Environment as he hopes to further his expertise in the renewable energy industry. He brings vast experience to the table after working with manufacturing companies like Conagra brands and AstraZeneca, as well as UL Solutions. In his free time, Feras loves spending time with family and friends, watching action-adventure movies, live sports, and cooking.

An energy ‘Jack of All Trades’, Dr. Meng Fun brings more than 20 years of retail, wholesale, energy trading, and risk management experience to Chariot Energy as Director of Energy Analytics. He has held directors’ and advisory positions at several energy organizations. He is a certified financial risk manager and has earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specializing in AI neural networks modeling from Oklahoma State University. Outside of work, Dr. Meng is married and has a 17-year-old son. He is also a national chess mater and chess enthusiast, while also enjoying fishing when his back is not killing him.

A content creator by trade, Edgar has revolved his entire career around his strongest skillset… writing. Having worked in a variety of different industries, including pharmaceuticals, sports, infrastructure, and now energy, his craftsmanship with words creates new worlds and paints colorful pictures to enhance brands and improve marketing strategies, for which he is passionate about. In his spare time, Edgar likes to spend time with his girlfriend & family, creative write, and watch movies/TV shows, as well as his favorite sports teams.

Our team just got a bit more… intelligent. Having recently finished his master’s degree in Information Systems at Georgia State University, Vishal joins Chariot as our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, where he’ll gather and decipher important data that can help Chariot make better business decisions. Before getting his master’s degree, Vishal gained vast experience working with many companies in India. Outside of work, Vishal enjoys traveling and cooking.

Bjorn joins the Chariot team as Sr. Director of Risk Management. Prior to joining Chariot, Bjorn spent over 28 years honing his skills in project management, commodity (wholesale & retail) trading & risk management as well as consulting to implement CTRM solutions. In his spare time, he is an avid mountain biker, and looks to complete his 10th Leadville 100 MTB race and thereby secure his 1,000 Mile Buckle (10 x 100 miles) this year!

With a robust background in Retail Electricity Finance, Accounts Receivables, and Collections, Jermaine joins the Chariot team as Collections Supervisor. In his previous roles, Jermaine worked on building structure, mitigating bad debt, and providing business intelligence within the financial sector of the industry. On a personal note, Jermaine is a native Houstonian, former DJ, and huge wrestling fan. He loves going to the movies with family and friends, and hosting game nights in his spare time.

Ayesha joins Chariot Energy as Digital Sales Manager with 7+ years experience in the marketing field, starting with direct marketing at mall kiosks and advancing to the orchestration of multi-agent campaigns. Outside of work, Ayesha is passionate about real estate, being a Houston foodie, and her family, which includes hanging out with her 40+ cousins.

Originally from Donna, Texas, Rachel calls Houston her adopted city. Rachel completed her undergrad degree at the University of Houston, studying Global Energy Finance and worked in Retail Energy in a variety of roles in the front office and sales before moving to Austin and Dallas, where she spent time working in FP&A in Tech & Banking. She’s also completed her MBA through the University of Southern California in 2023. Outside of work, Rachel spends a great deal of her time under the sun, running, hiking, biking, and swimming. When she’s not exploring nature, she enjoys museums, martial arts, good coffee, and movies!

A guru in operations, Jessica has worked in the energy industry for 14 years with REPs and a variety of other vendors within the industry. Well-versed in her career, Jessica has had the opportunity to work in different departments and enjoys working in the energy industry, as it is always evolving and allows her to bring her expertise to Chariot. Jessica is a mother of four and a baseball mom to three boys, and enjoys family time the most, whether it’s baseball season, BBQ-ing in the backyard, or walking & biking on a trail. She is a fan of Mixed Martial Arts and never misses a UFC fight.

Born in Korea but raised in China, SJ graduated from Peking University and entered the Renewable Energy business by joining Hanwha Energy in 2012. With Hanwha Energy, SJ worked in procurement, sales planning, product management, and corporate planning. SJ brings over a decade of solar industry experience to Chariot Energy, where he now leads the Distributed Energy business for the company. Outside of work, SJ loves spending time with his wife and playing soccer with his two sons.

Krishnan is all about risky business. Bringing 25+ years of energy risk management and trading experience to Chariot, Krishnan has held various leadership roles with a variety of different energy companies. Such roles were Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Commercial Officer before moving to Chief Risk Officer and VP of Commercial Operations. He has an MBA and a Master of Science from the University of Connecticut. Outside of work, Krishnan enjoys gardening and is quite good at it! He also loves golf, but spends more time looking for the ball than hitting the ball.

Amir is a car enthusiast who enjoys watching sports, but not at the same time. He was born in Africa and grew up in the Middle East and South Asia. He later moved to the states for high school and college. He married his gorgeous wife and they have two beautiful daughters- a 6 year old and 8 month old. He likes to jam out to “Baby Shark, do, do, do, do, do, do” and party it up at Chuck E Cheese.

Mohsin is the Chief Operating Officer. As a serial entrepreneur, he founded one of the first independent retail electricity providers in Texas, but has also run a corporate division with four hundred employees and a billion dollars in revenues. He is super excited to lead the charge of bringing truly sustainable but amazingly affordable energy to Texans. Mohsin has lived in four countries, can play several musical instruments, and is married to his high school sweetheart.

Karina joins Chariot as Sales Analyst with 6+ years of energy industry experience, with her most recent experience being a Pricing Analyst at Mantis Innovation, an energy broker firm. Her experience prior to being a Pricing Analyst includes being in sales support and pricing for small retail suppliers. Karina is a proud University of Texas Longhorn, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a singer/songwriter who loves going to live music events and poetry slams. She was born and raised in Houston, TX, and is a proud Latina of Bolivian and Salvadoran descent.

Our Data Master! A native Houstonian and former United States Marine, Marcel started his career in IT while also studying political science and economics at the University of Houston earning his B.A. He has over 20 years of experience in IT, starting as a network engineer before changing into software development and database management. Outside of work, Marcel is married to his wife of 25 years and has 3 boys, each with their own love for NFL and College football teams. Personally, Marcel loves to sail and used to be a mainsail trimmer/grinder for a small yacht racing crew.

A native Houstonian and proud University of Houston Cougar, Clint joins Chariot as our Retail Supply Analyst. Clint holds a varied range of experience working in the investment banking, midstream, and gas business. He is a massive sports fanatic, who loves all things competitions from Football to Formula 1. He also contains a interest in physics and astronomy as well.

A Dallas native, Casey studied Economics at Texas State University-McCoy College of Business in San Marcos, Texas. Early in his career, Casey held several positions at one of the retail electricity supply companies including Pricing Analyst, Supervisor, and Pricing Desk Manager. Over the last several years, he has spent time consulting directly with consumers to implement purchasing strategies that positively impacted the bottom line. In his spare time, Casey enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and experiencing new places with his wife, their two children, and dog, Hank.

With over 20 years of experience in both wholesale and retail electricity, James joins Chariot as our Senior Retail Supply Trader, responsible for hedging our load exposure in ERCOT. James was previously the Founder/Vice President at a start-up called Energy Texas LLC within the Texas energy space.

You can’t be an IT and technology executive unless your very first computer was a Commodore 64 and you learned your first programming language in Basic. Sajjad is a real whiz in his wheelhouse, having been the first to develop an Amazon Alexa skill for retail energy customers. When not spending time making Chariot Energy the technology leader in retail energy, Sajjad enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He’s is also a ringer on the volleyball court and frequently hits the road for long bike rides around the Lonestar State.

In Kyu joined Chariot Energy to take the helm of CEO in October 2022.  But, he’s no stranger to Hanwha, having been with the company since 2010 in multiple positions in M&A, purchasing, planning and strategy and human resources.  In Kyu is proud to now call Houston home after recently moving to the Lone Star State from South Korea with his wife and baby daughter.

Our Senior Director, Head of Energy Analytics, Ryan joins Chariot after over two decades, beginning in 2001. Originally from the Northeast, Ryan first came to Houston in 2018 but has worked across the country, from New York to Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., North Carolina, and now Texas. He holds both a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree from George Mason University, where he initially focused on IT analysis before finding his true calling in the energy industry. Ryan’s career includes experience in C&I, Mass Markets, Natural Gas, and Power, working on both the retailer and broker sides. Today, Ryan calls Houston home, where he lives with his wife, daughter, their foster pups, and extended family.

Sang Woo majored in statistics in college before joining the energy industry learning about renewable energy and energy retail. After two years in the industry, Sang Woo spent the next two years in the IT industry, learning more on data analytics. He brings all that experience to Chariot Energy develop and maintain a high-level understanding of the energy market here in Texas. In his spare time, Sang Woo loves cycling and makes it a mission to go on vacation once year to enjoy a week of cycling.

Our main problem solver has arrived! Ana graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Computer Science and has worked in the energy industry for the last six years. Ana specializes in data analytics and predictive modeling, using technology to solve problems in the real world.

Tim is taking the reins of the sales team. He is devoted to demonstrating to customers that solar energy doesn’t have to cost more than traditional ‘brown’ power, and matching them up with the best valued plans for their needs. Originally a yankee from Connecticut, he has embraced the Texas way of life with gusto!

An accounting GENIUS, Star is the head Accounting Manager for Chariot Energy. With over 20 years of experience and exposure in the oil and gas industry, Star is a Texas A&M graduate with a BBA in Finance and an MSA in Accounting. Star is a proud wife and mother of 2 beautiful children (11-year old boy and 3-year old girl), while being passionate about her children’s ministry as well as leading a women’s bible study group. When she is not creating memories with her children and family, Star can be found enjoying the great outdoors, whether its hiking or simply taking a walk on a nice day.

Our newest Retail Operations Analyst, Gabriel has been working in the industry since 2006. Gabriel was born and raised in Houston and has 2 little girls, who both love gymnastics and love arts & crafts. In his spare time, Gabriel loves to watch and play sports.

With 17 years of experience in the retail energy industry, including managing portfolios for clients like Houston Baptist University, BASF, and LyondellBasell, Eric brings a wealth of expertise to Chariot Energy. Based in Houston, Eric leads large C&I Origination across deregulated U.S. markets. A former collegiate tennis player with degrees in Computer Science and Marketing, he now spends time off the court cheering on his two daughters at volleyball tournaments.

Our Operations EXTRA-ordinare. Britney is helping lead the charge in to serve our customers better as Chariot’s Sr. Operations Manager. Britney is focused and committed to providing the best care and best support possible to each and every individual who calls Chariot Energy their electricity service provider. She’s passionate about reducing this world’s dependence on fossil fuels and that’s what makes her a tremendous part of the Chariot team. You can find her curled up reading a good book (sometimes while at work) or with her 2 pups. Oh yeah, Geaux Saints!

Brooklyn brings five years of administrative business operations experience with her to Chariot Energy! Having grown up in Louisiana, Brooklyn moved to Houston four years ago. A hard-worker, she is eager to learn, grow more professionally, and bring a positive upbeat energy to the company each and every day. Outside of work, Brooklyn enjoys yoga, staying active with her dog, Luna, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Ivy has a total of 10 years of experience in the energy industry, all being under the Operations umbrella. Working for a variety of different energy companies, Ivy has shown experience as a Customer Service Rep and PJM Billing Analyst before moving up to an Operations Coordinator and Rates Analyst at her more recent companies before Chariot. Outside of work, Ivy loves spending time with her three dogs, family, or binge watching anything and everything. When she has more time to get away, she enjoys going to Electronic Music Dance festivals with her husband and friends.

Ryan joins Chariot Energy as the Head of Wholesale Supply & Trade, bringing 14 years of experience in the retail energy industry to the company. Ryan’s most recent experience was at Shell, where he was the Sr. Director of Trading & Strategy and was responsible for the PnL of the retail business. Ryan looks forward to helping Chariot become even more profitable and sustainable for years to come! Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children, most of that time being spent outdoors.

A local Houstonian and University of Houston Coog, Errika brings vast accounting and finance experience from a variety of industries, including oil & gas and event and restaurant operations. She is thrilled to transfer her skillset to the energy industry with Chariot Energy and is passionate about renewable energy and contributing to a cleaner future. When she’s not working, Errika likes to hike around state and national parks, work in her garden, and hang out with her nephews.

Nadevia is here to ensure things run SMOOTHLY at Chariot. A highly experienced retail energy professional, Nadevia has over 12 years in the field. Holding a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Business & Psychology from University of Houston-Downtown, Nadevia expresses her expertise in her day-to-day as Operations Manager, overseeing and optimizing operations for the company. Mirroring her successful career, she also takes pride in her role as a devoted wife and mother of three children in her personal life. During her leisure time, Nadevia enjoys watching crime shows like NCIS, Blue Bloods, & SWAT, as well as indulging in fishing trips on her boat.
